Celebrating Jerry

I have been in such a bad mood today; I feel like I can't do anything right. The shelves I was going to make for Noah's room were frustrating me so much! I finally gave it up and I'll go back to it another time. I had no idea how much work it was going to be to make over his room.

I almost had Jerry write my blog post because I just couldn't handle it. My mood had been really stable for a while, but today just brought out the worst in me.

On Mother's Day, I shared a ton of pictures of the kids and me, and since I didn't want to write today, Jerry suggested I post pictures of him and the kids. I love that idea! Jerry is truly the BEST dad--I couldn't have picked a better partner to raise kids with.

Jerry has always been the "fun parent". As a stay-at-home-mom, I was the one who did the disciplining and the mundane day-to-day things. The kids have always adored Jerry because he has always acted like a big kid himself. He's always been a very hands-on dad--middle of the night feedings when they were babies, changing diapers, taking care of them while I went on trips, taking them to fun places like Star Wars conventions, and about a million more things. I hope the kids realize just how lucky they are!

Anyway, here are a bunch of pictures of the Jerry and the kids (they aren't in any order; I had no idea how to easily put them in chronological order).

  2. Jerry seems like such a great guy and a wonderful father/ husband. Such awesome photos and your sons clearly will have great memories of their childhood. Glad he was able to salvage Father's day with a blog idea when you were having a difficult and stressful time. Hope you get the room completed before the boys return.

  3. You picked a good man. Not all kids are blessed with a caring person. My dad tried but he just wasn't cut out for fatherhood. You're pretty awesome too. My mother would never do what you're doing for Noah. Both your boys are so lucky. I wish I could have had parents like you & Jerry.

  4. As a Star Wars freak myself, I kind of want to hang out with your boys.

I used to publish ALL comments (even the mean ones) but I recently chose not to publish those. I always welcome constructive comments/criticism, but there is no need for unnecessary rudeness/hate. But please--I love reading what you have to say! (This comment form is super finicky, so I apologize if you're unable to comment)
