Outtake photos from Ragnar, part 1

I can't stop going through pictures from Ragnar! My race recap was so long that I didn't put many pictures in there, so I thought maybe I'd use this post to just post pictures (and video) that didn't quite fit into the recap. I write a brief description under each photo, so you know what you're looking at.

Turns out I have a ton of pictures, so I'm going to do a double post; hopefully they won't take too long to load! Here is part 1...

Interview with the Today Show before race start

Shortly after arriving for the starting line

Team decked out in pink for Leg 1

Angela filming the start of the race (that would be a
scary spot to stand, with runners charging at you!)

Van 1, at one of the exchanges

Ready for nighttime running

HUGE creepy bug at the exchange point

Obviously, this is our bib

People looking at our van (we felt like we were on display all the time--LOTS
of people stopped to check out our pictures. It was a great conversation-starter!)

Andrea's documentary interview at a major exchange

Behind the scenes

Ran into my brother at exchange 12

Catching a short nap at exchange 12

Finish line beer while we waited for Van 2 to finish their
final legs

In front of the finish line--best finish line party ever!

With my brother, who finished long before we did

Van 1 with Kerry Sanders from the Today Show

Ada behind the scenes for documentary

Rik's interview with Kerry Sanders

  1. That looks like such a fun experience! The bug is kinda freaking me out though...

  2. I love your blog so much! I just wanted to gently let you know that you might want to remove the picture of Ada almost touching a "baby deer". That deer is a key deer and they are super endangered, highly protected species of deer that lives only in the Keys. It is illegal to touch, feed or "disrupt their environment in any way.". I just wouldn't want anyone getting a nastygram from FL Division of Parks and Wildlife! Cheers and congratulations on a fantastic race!

    1. Thank you for letting me know! We had no idea. Thankfully, it never did get close enough, so no harm done.

I used to publish ALL comments (even the mean ones) but I recently chose not to publish those. I always welcome constructive comments/criticism, but there is no need for unnecessary rudeness/hate. But please--I love reading what you have to say! (This comment form is super finicky, so I apologize if you're unable to comment)
