Tangled

I just got done watching Tangled with my kids. It's a cute movie--reminds me of the old-school Disney movies, like The Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast.

I went for a run this morning. Looking at the weather report, it said it was supposed to rain all day except between 8 and 9 AM (strange) so I took that as an opportunity to get my run out of the way. It was the worst run I've had in a long time! I wasn't trying to go fast or anything, but I was still surprised to see that I was running a 9:40-ish mile pace--which is very slow for me lately. I'm used to running about a 9:00/mi pace. I had a bad stomach cramp and just wasn't feeling up to par today. I did 4.6 miles in 44:07.

I was SO tempted to binge today.
I think I let myself get too hungry after lunch/before dinner. That is my most vulnerable time. The only thing that stopped me from bingeing was knowing that I just started this new blog and I didn't want to binge on the second day I was to write in it! ;)

I made a snack I haven't had in a while. I split a Vitatop chocolate muffin top in half (so it was in two thin circles) and then combined fat free cool whip with PB2 and spread that on one half. Topped with the other half and it was kind of like a chocolate-peanut butter whoopie pie. Yum! I love the Vitatops but they are so damn expensive that I rarely buy them.

My husband is off work tomorrow, and I'm so excited to spend the day with him. He's worked the last nine days in a row--12-hour shifts! I feel like a single parent when he works that much. I'm not sure what we're going to do (I'm sure nothing exciting) but I'll be happy to just hang out with him. He tends to keep me on track as far as dieting goes, too. I think I mentioned this, but he's lost a lot of weight too. We used to weigh the same--253 pounds--funny right? Now he's down to about 175. Here is a comparison photo of us, but the current one is still pretty old--it was taken in August, and Jerry's lost about 15 pounds since then.

  4. Great job avoiding the binge!! I'm so glad to see you back on track! It's totally selfish, but somehow I need other people to succeed to prove that I can do it, too. Great self confidence there, eh? ;)

  6. I've been a reader on OD for awhile and you've been a big inspiration to live a healthy lifestyle for me. In addition to my OD, I have a Tumblr blog about my health and fitness called myeatingpants.tumblr.com.

    I'll be reading!

  7. I love when you put pics side by side like that! It's such a great comparison. Has Jerry kept the weight off too? I've found that my husband's weight doesn't seem to fluctuate as much as mine. i guess he's a much more consistent eater. i was so happy when I finally weighed less than him! Lol. My daughter really likes Tangled. My mom just made her a braid out of yarn, it's like 8 feet long! I think she said she used 8 pieces of yarn for each section of the braid to make it thick. Haven likes me to put her hair in a ponytail and clip the braid to it so she has long hair like Rapunzel. ;)

I used to publish ALL comments (even the mean ones) but I recently chose not to publish those. I always welcome constructive comments/criticism, but there is no need for unnecessary rudeness/hate. But please--I love reading what you have to say! (This comment form is super finicky, so I apologize if you're unable to comment)
