MM Frustration!

Well, I started a Motivational Monday post today, but I got so frustrated that I just quit. I'm sorry, but I'm going to have to save it for next week. Apple added a new app on my Macbook called "Photos" which is supposed to replace "iPhoto" (the app I've been using for a couple of years). For the life of me, I cannot figure out the new app!

I spent a few hours today just trying to save the Motivational Monday photos from my email to iPhoto, like usual, but I can't do that; and then I was trying to figure out how to use the Photos app, and I can't find any of the photos that I'm trying to save from email. So basically, to write the Motivational Monday post, I have to save the photos from my email to my computer, and then upload them to my blog post--and I can't figure out how to do that anymore with the new Photos app.

So frustrating!!

Anyway, I will have some time at the library tomorrow while Joey is at his doggy daycare, so I will hopefully be able to sit down and figure it all out then. I'll save the Motivational Monday stories for next week. Hope everyone has a great week!

You can still check out some stories on the Motivational Monday Facebook post!

I meant to tell you yesterday keep watching Bloodline. It entertained me for many treadmill runs. And, I'm with you on the injury frustration! I have a stupid broken pinkie toe, but can't run. Starting to go crazy!

  3. That app got slapped on my machine, too, but I'm still using iPhoto. I can't remember if iPhoto remained in my dock or if I had to put the alias back in there, but you should look in your applications on your hard drive to see if iPhoto is still there.

    1. I still have iPhoto, but I can't save pictures there! Jerry and I both spent several hours yesterday trying to figure it out, and I just couldn't do it. I can save pictures in the Photos app, but when I look for them to upload them to my post, they vanish. And since I have 18,000 pictures (literally) on my computer, I don't even know how to begin to find them. Grr!

    2. Oh, that sucks. I wonder how in the world I got around that. I did google "I hate Photos app" and it looks like you're not alone. I hope a solution comes along quickly. I hate tech problems and usually just zone out when I have to try to fix something.

  4. Grrr, computer problems are so frustrating!! Katie, this seems like the perfect place to tell you how motivating YOU have been to me. I don't know if you remember me, but several years ago I was writing a blog called Begin From Here. I had found your blog and was so motivated by all that you had done and were doing. You were a busy mom too, like me, but you were making it a priority to get it done! So I gradually started running again and felt great. Then last June I unexpectedly had to have major surgery (the no-more-kids kind) and it put me in a dark place. I felt hopeless and lacked all motivation. I gained weight again (I had lost 20 pounds when I had started running). Anyway, at the end of last year I decided to pick myself up out of this and turned again to your blog. I love your stories and how you are so real with your readers. Well, I am running again (have competed 3 marathons this year - 10 total!) and have resurrected my goal of doing 50 marathons by age 50! I started a new blog dedicated to the journey - www.accidentalrunner.com - and just wanted to thank you so much for always being so real, honest, motivating and supportive. You are wonderful!

I used to publish ALL comments (even the mean ones) but I recently chose not to publish those. I always welcome constructive comments/criticism, but there is no need for unnecessary rudeness/hate. But please--I love reading what you have to say! (This comment form is super finicky, so I apologize if you're unable to comment)
