Motivational Monday


In 2012, I started writing a weekly post called Motivational Monday, which is a post for my readers to share the health and fitness accomplishments they are proud of. These can be anything from running a marathon to walking a mile for the first time; from losing 100 pounds to going binge-free for a whole day; from going a year without sugar to quitting smoking. Basically, these posts are a spot for us to brag about what we've accomplished, big or small!

To submit an accomplishment you'd like to share (publicly) for Motivational Monday:
  • Send a photo* to represent your accomplishment to me via email at: MM (at) runsforcookies (dot) com (please make sure you check that the email address is correct--if it's spelled incorrectly, I won't get it)
  • Please include a brief description of your accomplishment (1-2 brief paragraphs).
  • If you have a blog that you'd like me to link to in your post, then please include that in the email as well.
*If you're including a race photo, you must have purchased it or it must be a photo that you or a family/friend took; I cannot post copyrighted photos from photographers. If other people are in the photo you choose to send, please make sure they are okay with it being posted, too :)

I won't be able to personally respond to the Motivational Monday emails, but please keep a lookout on Mondays for your post. I will try to let you know if/when it will appear on the blog.

Also, I'd like to ask a small favor of you in return for my sharing your accomplishment. Please leave a comment on the Motivational Monday posts to congratulate the others on their accomplishments! Everyone loves a compliment, and these posts are all about being positive and happy for each other for our hard work.
