My Current Status


Just a brief rundown of what's currently happening in my life. Everything changes so much (like my weight! haha, and my diet, and exercise, and all that), so I thought I'd put it in a nutshell here.

Diet: After nearly two years of not counting calories or doing any particular plan to maintain/lose weight, I started calorie counting again on January 1, 2019. See below.

Weight: I started the new year at 165--the highest my weight has been in the last 8 years. I gained quite a bit in 2018, and now I want to take it back off. Story of my life!

Exercise: I made a goal for 2019 to get back to exercising three times a week for 30+ minutes each time. I started the year with bronchitis, but I will slowly get there.

Mental Health: I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in early 2017, and the new medication has made a world of difference. I have mild episodes of depression and hypomania, but nothing like they were before. I currently feel more stable than I ever have in my life, which is really fantastic!

Family: We had a hard time last year because Jerry went through depression--something he's never had before--and it was really tough to deal with. I think that contributed to my weight gain. He started an antidepressant a few months ago, and is doing SO much better. It's a relief!

Pets: We are down to just two cats, Phoebe and Estelle. Chandler passed away in 2016 and Monica in 2017. And we have Joey, of course--our lab/chow mix that we adopted in 2015.

I think that's about all that's going on right now! I'll keep this page up to date as things change.
