Budgeting


In June 2017, once my bipolar medication really helped stabilize my moods, I decided to work on a budget for Jerry and I to pay off our credit card debt (about $14,500). We have a varied income (meaning that the amount on our paychecks varies wildly). Trying to follow a weekly budget was impossible! 

After some Googling, I discovered something called Zero-Sum Budgeting, and it has changed our lives! As I write this in March 2018, our debt is down to $2333. We used to think we didn't have any extra money to pay off debt, but this budget has shown us that we were just doing it all wrong.
