It was in a little packet (the size of a packet of sweetener). She explained that it was crystallized lemon--basically the equivalent of one wedge, and it wasn't sweetened at all. She showed the members this product and said that it's a great way to start drinking more water--you can add a packet to water, and it tastes just like water with a squeeze of lemon in it. I tried it and really liked it, but I wasn't able to find it in the store.
Fast forward almost 10 years, and I got an e-mail from a company called True Citrus--the original "True Lemon" company. They asked if I would like to try some of their products, and I was really surprised when I saw how much they had branched out. In addition to the True Lemon, there is also True Lime, True Orange, and True Grapefruit. The True Lemon and True Lime also come in shaker bottles to use larger quantities than the small packets.
They've even added some products that are sweetened--iced tea with lemon, lemonade, and raspberry lemonade. These are similar to products like Crystal Light, only they are sweetened with Stevia rather than artificial sweeteners.
I was excited to see all the bright citrus colors when I opened the box:
I've spent the last couple of weeks trying out the different products. I started with the four unsweetened products--True Lemon, True Lime, True Grapefruit, and True Orange.
Here is the what the contents of a packet look like (this is the True Lime):
I added it to some sparkling water (unsweetened--just plain old carbonated water) and ice, and it was really good! The True Lime tastes just like a squeeze of lime juice. I tried the orange, grapefruit, and lemon packets the same way. Normally, I am not a grapefruit person at all--I don't like grapefruit, and I don't like grapefruit juice. However, I have to say that the True Grapefruit was my favorite!
Jerry and the boys all agreed that they like the grapefruit one the best also, but we really liked all four flavors. The True Lime was screaming at me to use it in a cocktail (yes, screaming), so I looked online for a very simple recipe using lime, and I came up with a Paloma.
Why yes, that is a Sam's Club-sized bottle of tequila, thankyouverymuch. |
Shaker bottles to sprinkle on veggies, popcorn, pasta, meat, etc. |
Here are some ideas from the True Citrus website:
*Sprinkle True Lime on popcorn or tortilla chips.
*Sprinkle True Lemon on vegetables instead of using salt.
*Add True Lemon or True Lime to butter to make a lemon butter or lime butter.
*Make flavored ice cubes.
Click here for the full list of ideas on their website.
I haven't tried this yet, but I want to try adding a packet of True Lime to cheesecake pudding for a key lime pie-like dessert.
The lemonade mix and the raspberry lemonade mix are both very good as well. In the summertime, I like to make a five-calorie Arnold Palmer by mixing unsweetened iced tea with Crystal Light Lemonade (50/50)--but I am now going to switch to the True Lemonade, because it's sweetened with Stevia.
Overall, I honestly cannot say anything negative about any of the products they sent me. I really enjoyed them! And I discovered that my local Kroger carries the True Lemon and True Lime (unfortunately, not the True Grapefruit). They are in a strange spot of the store--with the sugar and other sweeteners. So if you check your store, try that aisle.

(In full disclosure, I was given the True Citrus products for free to review, but was not required to give a favorable review. All opinions are my own.)
I would love to use something in my water like the true drinks, since I still need something different then plain water every once in a while, and I think the true lemon and lime would be awesome on fish and veggies :)
ReplyDeleteI would love to win this product! I think it would make the water that I bring to the gym taste a lot better by putting the true lime or lemon in there! I hate the tatse of water..so plain
ReplyDeleteI would love to win that - it sounds amazing! I drink a bunch of boring plain water at work but citrus water would be so much better!
ReplyDeleteI would probably be boring and just use them in water most of the time, but I also think the lime version would be amazing sprinkled over some cilantro rice and black beans!
ReplyDeleteI would definitely try the lemon on some roasted veggies!! Yum!
ReplyDeleteI would like to try some desserts with them my husband loves lemon. I also think the lemonade sound awesome!
ReplyDeleteAll of these sound so refreshing! I drink a lot of water throughout the day but often get bored with it. Sounds like these would give my water a little kick! Would love a chance to try some!
ReplyDeleteLime over chips sounds awesome :) I've never seen these, before. I drink water all day long, and having packets to add some flavor is genius, since I won't bring a lemon or lime to work to add to it.
ReplyDeleteI love True Lemon and am super excited to know they make a grapefruit flavor. I LOVE everything grapefruit. I think it would taste great in a plain greek yogurt (maybe with a packet of splenda as well).
ReplyDeleteI would like to try the lime on chicken :) 10 days untill the Marathon!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to win this! I'm thinking of making "margarita" Popsicles with it somehow.
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, love your blog! Thanks for keeping it real! I would use it for water...I don't drink enough as it is and now that I'm pregnant, I really need to up my water usage! Even if I don't win I'm going to look for these products...they sound great! Julie jfievet@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteI love putting lemon in my tea, but hate to bring a lemon to work. This would be such a great way to liven up my tea without adding any extra calories!

ReplyDeleteI'm pregnant and addicted to sparkling water---the grapefruit literally made my mouth water!
ReplyDeleteI would love to win this product for many reasons, I love lemon water but the lemons are hurting my VERY sensitive teeth now, weird I know. I would also like to try it in a few cocktails ;)
ReplyDeletetrue lemon on my shrimp and salmon
ReplyDeleteOooo, I would love to try the grapefruit one. I can't stand fresh grapefruit but you've got me curios to try this product. The lemon would be most awesome on fresh tortilla chips! Yummy!
ReplyDeleteI would want to put some of the lime on dehydrated cucumbers, or fresh, either way!
I'd add the lime one to some Greek yogurt and chilli powder for a great veggie dip! I'd also put them in water for sure :)

ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome product (and giveaway)!! I absolutely love adding fresh lemon, or even lemon juice to my water, and also sometimes with a packet of Splenda. A bit like lemonade. But this product would make life (on the go) so much easier!!
ReplyDeleteAlso just by reading your post, I'm totally curious about the Total Grapefruit! ;)
Seriously...I would sprinkle the true orange over some Edy's slow churned vanilla ice cream! Nothing in the world is better than orange vanilla cream! How about an orange Julius remix! Fage yogurt...trop50....true orange....a half cup of unsweetened vanilla almond milk.....crushed ice...sweetener of choice and blend away!
ReplyDeleteWow, thanks for the chance! Mostly I would use them to mix in water, hadn't thought to use sparkling before. And I'm not a fan of grapefruit either, so I'm curious to try it now! That and the lime with cheesecake pudding. Michele
ReplyDeleteI'm a college student and it would be so fun to have something to mix into my water bottle when I go to class :)!! I'd probably switch it up every day and make each morning a different fruit flavor -- yummy!
ReplyDeleteThis product sounds awesome (so does the cheesecake pudding mix, but they don't sell that here) I would love to use it in water, greek yogurt, I'm thinking maybe mixing it in a cheesecake or lemon meringue pie. When I was a kid I destroyed my teeth sucking on real lemons and constantly fight with my 7 year old to keep him from doing the same...I'm sure he could come up with more uses for this than I ever could!
ReplyDeleteI would love this. I'm not sure how I would use it yet but I would probably try to mix it with Amaretto to try to make an Amaretto sour.
ReplyDeleteThis product seems so exciting!! I LOVE adding orange slices to tea and the packets would be great. The options are unlimited.
ReplyDeleteI would love this. I need to drink more water so I can see this helping me a lot. I love lemonade too so I would love to try their version. Also would sprinkle the lemon on my broccoli with a little bit of dill.

ReplyDeletethis is Noelle!
DeleteI've been wanting to try the Lime and Lemon flavor in my unsweetened tea! I'd love to win this box of goodies :)
ReplyDeleteThe grapefruit sounds really good. I also would live to try the raspberry lemonade with the stevia. I drink crystal light and would like to cut down on the artificial sweetener and try the stevia instead. All their products sound awesome.
ReplyDeleteOh I would totally use them in water to get my ounces in for the day! Yummm-o! Sounds so fun! I'll definitely be on the lookout for it at the store!
ReplyDeleteI love the true lemon but think the grapefruit would be my favorite. Would love a chance to try them all!
ReplyDeleteI would love to try these products. Sprinkling the lemon on popcorn sounds very interesting. I already drink a lot of water but would love to try the grapefruit flavored drink. I'm not a fan of anything grapefruit but curious to try it based on your comments. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI would love it for water, because I'm always looking for ways to "spice up" my drinking water. Making a cocktail or mocktail would be fun, too. I'd do an Arnold Palmer, but add some vodka to it. Haha!
ReplyDeleteI love the True Lemon Raspberry Lemonade! But I LOVE even more that they're made with stevia. I would really like to try the True Grapefruit! I had no idea they made that! Adding it to plain seltzer sounds delicious!
ReplyDeleteschutrek01@mail.buffalostate.edu

ReplyDeleteI always Like to add lime or lemon to my water, this sounds like a good alternative. Would love to try the grapefruit
ReplyDeleteHmmmm....These would be great to carry in my purse for when we go out to eat. So much better than drinking diet pop!!!
ReplyDeleteI would love to win this package! The flavors all sound great but the orange and grapefruit sound the most interesting. I've done lemon and lime before so I know I love those, but it's a pain to squeeze a lemon or lime into my water so this would be super convenient. Thank you for the opportunity to win! :)

ReplyDeleteThis sounds good. I would try it on salmon and in my water.
ReplyDeleteOh man, I'd love to try the grapefruit in my water! I know it isn't creative but it sounds delicious!
ReplyDeleteI would love to keep these at my desk at work. I drink a ton of water while working and sometimes you just need a little bit of flavor. Sometimes it is just wanting a different taste and other times I find a bit of citrus just acts to wake you up a bit more.
ReplyDeleteHello, My name is Melissa, I am 26 and I am from Sudbury, ON, Canada. I love reading your blog, I read it just about everyday. I also just restarted doing weight watchers on Weds and have about 100 lbs or more to lose. You are such a inspiration to me. I would love to win a this product because lemon water is my favourite and I also like making lemon chicken and would be really interested in seeing how this works. Unfportuneytly the website does not ship to Canada, so I don't know if I could even win, however I just wanted to let you know how awesome you and I love reading your blog for motivation! :) my email is melissa_7024@hotmail.com
ReplyDeleteThank You for the offer!
I love citrus on my fish and broccoli. These look like really great products. Grapefruit is my favorite flavor for water.
ReplyDeleteMmm I'm going to search my grocery stores tomorrow for it. I would use them in water. I've been slacking with my water intake lately!
ReplyDeleteLove your blog btw.I read it all the time!
I have been wanting something like this for a long time...no idea someone made it! I love citrus flavored water, but I don't use any artificial sweetners...this is just what I'm looking for! =)
ReplyDeleteI'd love to try these! I drink a lot of lemon water so it would be nice to make it a bit more portable! Thanks for the review and giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of using it on veggies! Yum!
ReplyDeleteYum! The Grapefruit one sounds tasty. Maybe in a cocktail with vodka! Sparkling water with all of them sounds good too!
ReplyDeleteI tried the true lemon years ago and I loved it! I looked through some of those recipes and want to try most of them! I really like the idea of flavored ice cubes.
ReplyDeleteI didn't think of that. I bet making ice with some of the True Lemon to put in water would be really yummy!
DeleteI'd love to try the lemon to make some sweet'n'sour lemon sticky rice! Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI can think of a bunch of ways I'd love to try these. First in water. I'm not typically much of a flavored water drinker but I LOVE iced-tea with lemon so I'm sure I'd love that one. And I love grapefruit juice but never drink it because of the calories, so I'd really like to try that one. I also like lemon on many foods, including veggies and fish. Lemon-pepper fish is my favorite so I'd love to try it on some fish.
ReplyDeleteI've had the lemon before - loved adding it to water to make it more palatable. I should get some - having a real hard time getting my water down these days! The grapefruit one sounds delicious!
ReplyDeleteI always have bottles of real lemon & lime juice with me at home and at the office bc I hate plain water! Seriously I drink a gallon of water everyday at work!! I'm really interested in trying the grapefruit though!! Sounds so good!!!
ReplyDeleteI would use the True Lime for a rum & diet coke treat!
ReplyDeleteI am trying to cut out diet soda and am doing pretty well but getting a little bored with water. Adding any of the three flavors to seltzer water would be a great soda substitute. I think I would love to mix the lemon and lime together. I also think the grapefruit would be yummy and would smell appetizing, too! Thanks
ReplyDeleteI would love to add this these to iced tea or water. YUM!
ReplyDeleteSince I tend to let citrus die - I think I may have to stock up on this stuff! I can TOTALLY see adding some of the lemon to chicken soup this winter, and the orange to brownie batter. =-)
ReplyDeleteI would totally love to try these products out to sweeten up my plain greek yogurt in the mornings. I have one before each and every run for protein and the flavor is horrid. I am thinking these may liven up my mornings. :)
ReplyDeleteI'd use it in tea. Hot tea, cold tea, either one. I find that tea satisfies my sweet cravings sometimes, and I'd love to jazz it up with these citrus products. I bet it would be good stirred into some soft cream cheese for dipping nilla wafers or spread on graham crackers. Or ginger snaps!
ReplyDeleteJoan R.
I love grapefruit, but hate the mess and work that goes into eating one. I would use the packets to flavor water and get the taste without the work!
ReplyDeleteStephanie B.
I would love this! I too throw out so many limes and lemons.
ReplyDeleteI would love to try the True Lemon on baked chicken. I think it would taste wonderful and even my husband would love it!
ReplyDeleteI would love to try it in my water and in my baking. Kara L.
ReplyDeleteI think I would try the True Grapefruit first. Then I would try the lime over chips or popcorn. I am going to have to look for this stuff at my local grocery store!
ReplyDeleteLeslie Edwards
I really want to try that cocktail. Or add some True Lemon to some vodka. Yum!
ReplyDeleteI think I would add it to my water to start, especially the grapefruit. I would probably try swapping it for juice in some recipes too.
ReplyDeleteWOW now THIS is a giveaway I would LOVE to win! I have a hard time drinking enough water - really hard time. This would be a great way to make it drinkable! I'd bet it's good to sprinkle on a poached apple with some cinnamon!!
ReplyDeleteI would love to try that cocktail and would love to try all the flavors in water!
ReplyDeleteI have lost 130 lbs so far with 30 left to go. These seem to ne the hardest. Dietcoke is my favorite and I would love to try something new and different to get off the diet coke. I especially love all things citrus. I am 7 days post op from a lowerbody lift and would love this productas a pick me up to get over the hurdle. I love your blot..I feel like I can relate to you in many ways with your weight loss..thanks for the info.
ReplyDeleteIve tried the TrueLemon before, but wasnt aware of the other flavors, id love to try them. It sounds fun to try them in other things besides water!

ReplyDeleteOh wow, what an awesome giveaway! I have tried the True Lemon once, when I found it in the dollar tree, but I didn't realize they made all of these products too. I would love to try the True Lime in some honey greek yogurt for a kind of healthy key lime type thing.

ReplyDeleteI am seriously a coffee an ice tea drinker and would seriously like to cut out my caffeine intake with a healthier choice. This product seams like the perfect remedy!
ReplyDeleteI would have it replace my Crystal Light habit. I love Crystal Light as a low cal sweet drink. The problem is Dr. Oz was talking about avoiding artificial sweeteners because of stomach upset. For me that makes sense because I have IBS and since learned artificial sweeteners are a trigger. So I am trying to switch to stevia sweetened items. I think the unsweetened and sweetened versions are just what I need to cut my Crystal Light habit.
ReplyDeleteI would put the grapefruit in sparkling mineral water. I'd also put the lemon in iced tea. I've seen them in the store but didn't realize that they weren't just another Kool-Aid type drink mix.

ReplyDeleteI love citrus flavors, and I like your idea of using it to make a Key Lime Pie. Yum!
ReplyDeleteI would like to try thrm all. I love any citrus flavore. It's very hard to find true lemon products near me.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous sample box! I would like to try the packets in my water. I am trying to stay away from the pour-in types because of the artifical sweetner in them. I used to love grapefruit/vodka with a salted rim (a salty dog, I believe) so I would definitely give that a try too! Thanks for sharing this, I will have to check out my grocery store for some to keep on hand in the meantime :) Thanks, Katie!
ReplyDeleteI love true lime! I would use it to season chicken :) I'd love to try to grapefruit flavor, I didn't know they made that!
ReplyDeleteI'd use this product in cooking for when lime or lemon juice is called for. Like you, I've thrown away countless limes and lemons that have gone bad.

ReplyDeleteI think these products sound great! I am dying to try a key lime pie cupcake recipe I have without so many extra calories. I also make killer margaritas in the summer time, but with all the calories the fruit juices add, I don't have enough calories for drinks AND dinner. So I skip dinner a lot... ;)
ReplyDeleteI would love to win this! I have tried the packets before in lemon and orange and really enjoyed them in water. I would now love to try the stevia-sweetened mixes, as well as the grapefruit version. Thanks!

ReplyDeletesarah 322 at yahoo dot com
I'd add them to green tea, especially iced green tea. Yum.
ReplyDeleteI would add them to water so it isn't so boring to drink all the time
ReplyDeleteIf I were to win these I would def use them as a "salt" to the rim of my margaritas :D in addition to using them to make lemonade for myself, it's my favorite drink on the planet!
ReplyDeleteOooooh, options are endless...vodka and cranberry with True Lime or Lemon, add any to water and no more boring water, yeah....I like your carbonated water idea. Something different. The portability of it is pretty darn awesome!
ReplyDeleteI would probably just add them to water. I've been on a huge crystal light fan lately so I'd love to try something with stevia instead.
ReplyDeleteI am trying to drink more water so I would love to add the flavors to it! These look yummy. :)
ReplyDeleteI love putting juice in with unsweetend carb water - i have some yummy skinny margarita mix that is my current fav. It would be nice to put in some flavor with even less calories! Grapefruit sounds delish!
ReplyDeleteI would love to try them in water - I'm not a huge fan of plain water so I add flavoring to mine - but these would have less atrificial sweetners. I would also like to add them to plain yogurts to make them more yummy. I would even go as far as trying greek yogurt again - I didn't like it the first time :) Please pick me :)
ReplyDeleteThe possibilities are endless! But, I think I'd start with sauteing vegetables in virgin olive oil with true lemon or lime sprinkled in just for a kick.
ReplyDeleteI am always looking for way to add to food to make it sweeter. I have diabetes so I have to be careful with my sugars. This sounds like a great idea! I have always been a lover of water, but lately I have been having trouble getting the right amount in the day. I would add the lemon to my water and my tea in the morning.
ReplyDeleteThese sound amazing! I would love to try with water. I work at my desk for 10 hours and drink a LOT of water while sitting here. These would add some spice (err... citrus??) to my life! HA
ReplyDeleteThis would be a good way to help me increase my daily water consumption. I also really like you idea of adding it to cheesecake flavored pudding.
ReplyDeleteI would use it in water as suggested, but probably also in soup as a finisher. The lime in some turkey chili?? Yum.
ReplyDeleteI think something like this would DEFINITELY help my water intake! I use Crystal Light right now and it's okay, but I can only hand so much plain water.
ReplyDeleteI would also love to try the lime in my homemade pico de gallo!
I'd love to use these to keep myself hydrated throughout the day! I am doing P90X and soon will start my running programs, so hydration is key. I would LOVE LOVE LOVE these!!
ReplyDeleteThese sound really good! If I won the giveaway I would definitely flavor my water. Cooking with this product also sounds fun and delicious.
ReplyDeleteI would love to try this product for my 12 yr old daughter. She is lemon OBSESSED. She drinks lemon juice straight from the bottle. This would be perfect for her. Thanks

I would love to try these products -- water is essential part of my weight loss and I'm always looking for ways to spice it up and add variety!
ReplyDeleteI don't like flavored water so I would use these products on vegetables or to make yummy desserts. I think trying it on popcorn would be fun too!
ReplyDeleteI would probably just be boring and add it to water but maybe also to a low fat whipped cream for a fake mousse dessert.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to try True Lemon to see if it'd be a good substitute for sugar when making lemon cookies!
ReplyDeleteI would probably just mix it with plain ol' seltzer water! I use lemon juice right now, but would love to try the other flavors.
ReplyDeleteI would like to spice up my water- usually I drink it plain but that is getting old and this would be a great way to add some flavor without a lot of calories and sugar.
ReplyDeleteI've tried the lemon, but I didn't realize there were other options! I love the shaker idea and now I'm so curious about the grapefruit - I'll have to keep an eye out. I was wondering how the lemon might be sprinkled on baked or grilled fish. Lime might be fun to use too! Thanks for your posts. You are amazing, and that's an understatement.
ReplyDeleteYes!! I've had the lemon before, but I would like to try more.
ReplyDeleteGrapefruit water sounds pretty amazing. And, as I'm always scrounging around looking for lemons for humus, I would think that would be a first try with true lemon!
ReplyDeleteI would love to try this product due to being made with Stevia...Trying to cut out all artificial sweetners. I would like to put the lime on fries and bake them for a twist.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like a great product to try! I love to add lemon and lime to water but I waste so much fruit! This could be a great solution! I love lime and would love that for my ice tea!
ReplyDeleteI would LOVE to try this, pick me pick me! I have a limited amount of sugar that I am allowed so I think this would be awesome! I will for sure check my store!!!
ReplyDeleteI would love to try this!! With all the water I am drinking it would be used!!
ReplyDeleteI would love to try this since it is made with Stevia. I have been trying to find more creative ways to drink water but don't like Crystal Light. Thanks for the opportunity to try this!
ReplyDeleteI would love to try this!! the 4pp Paloma would probably be the first thing I try!
ReplyDeletelove to try the grapefruit in yogurt 7 also in my water. Thank you

ReplyDeleteI would love this! I would try in a cocktail, definitely or try sprinkling it on veggies in replace of salt.
ReplyDeleteI also love that it's sweetened with Stevia, because I'm trying to cut artificial sweeteners, too!
I don't think I'd use this product in water at all, actually. But I love a ton of the previous suggestions for flavoring food: chicken, beans and rice, popcorn, etc :)
ReplyDeleteThese seem great! So many things to use it with.. drinks, fish, chicken, snacks, dessert! I can't wait to try it!

ReplyDeleteI would try them in seltzer, scones and fish to start. Sounds yummy!
ReplyDeleteI'd like to try the true lemon on salmon.. I can never seem to get enough juice out of that little wedge they give you at the restaurant! LOL!

I would love to try the true grapefruit in an effort to start drinking more water again. I used to drink more than a gallon of water a day and lately I'm lucky if I get in a bottle of water :(
ReplyDeleteI would love it to try and get my daughter to drink ANY water, let alone more!!
ReplyDeleteI used to use this when it first came out. I can't find it now in the stores in Oregon. Good to know they are still around!
ReplyDeleteIf I won, I'm pretty sure I'd try everything you listed on this page. In fact, I may do it anyway. You made it sound SO GOOD.
ReplyDeleteI use True Lemon and True Lime and absolutely love them! I use the lemon to make the transition back to tap water vs. bottled. Trying to do my part for the environment but it is difficult to get passed that mental block that it's just as good as bottled. I prefer True Lime in seltzer water when I'm craving something carbonated but don't want to reach for regular or diet soda.
ReplyDeleteMy Soda Stream is just dying for this! It would be super-convenient at work.
ReplyDeleteI love to drink Citrus Green Tea every morning with the juice from half of a lemon squeezed in, but I hate squeezing the lemon and getting the pulp and seeds. I would love to try any of the True Citrus flavors in the tea to see which one would be the tastiest!
ReplyDeleteI've seen some of these in the store but never tried them. I'd love to try the grapefruit in some water. My husband would love them too. :)
ReplyDeleteI think the grapefruit would be great! Yummy for drinks but I bet fun to cook with too! I can't tell you how many lemon and limes I have had to pitch too!!
ReplyDeleteThe grapefruit flavour sounds so good! I drink 3 32oz bottles of water a day so I'd like the shakers so I could add as much or as little as I like. :)
ReplyDeleteId like to try to make lemon bars, my fav cocktail, & experiment with using it on fish :)
ReplyDeleteI read your post last night and headed out to my local Wal-mart on my way to work this weekend. (sigh) they didn't have it, but the Web site said they did.
ReplyDeleteI would love to try the drink mixes especially because of the Stevia.
Thanks!
I love crystal light, and was hoping to find something that was naturally sweetened. These sound perfect!
ReplyDeleteSounds really fresh and tasty! I love anything with lemon!

This sounds like a bunch of awesome products. I would love to try them in water, as I am always looking for ways to make my water more fun.
ReplyDeleteI usually have a big pitcher of crystal lite in the fridge. Making a big pitcher of true citrus would be a fun change!
ReplyDeleteI'm not much of one for flavored water, but I have to say that the idea of cooking with this stuff is very appealing to me. I usually buy bottles of lime and lemon juice to keep for cooking, but they usually expire before I use them all. I love the shaker bottles!
ReplyDeleteI would love to win this... looking forward to slicing up some cucumber and drizzling some of the true lemon and/or true lime and then some salt. It is so yummy! And don't forget tequila shots or just some flavored water... may make it easier to consume 8+ glasses.
ReplyDeleteThis is right up my alley! I love a hint of lemon in everything! If I don't win, I may just have to find some of this stuff. Thanks for the review.
ReplyDeleteWould love to use the true lemon in my water for the gym and try the true lime in a margarita. Oh yummy! :)
ReplyDeleteI'd love to try this product! The first 30 or 40 oz of water a day are fine plain but after that it can get a little boring! Plus I'd love to try cooking with it, maybe come up with a new recipe for sauce for chicken. Yum.

I think this could definitely help increase my water consumption!
ReplyDeleteWow they are very generous indeed. I have actually used True Lemon in the past, it did help me with drinking more water (I used to HATE water). I would love to try the new flavors and if I was lucky enough to win I would definitely be making that cocktail first lol ;)
ReplyDeleteI would love to try the grapefruit - I am in the same boat as you, I don't like it in any form but you make it sound so good!
ReplyDeleteI love citrus anything, and I will definitely try these (whether I win them or not) with our soda stream machine instead of the sugary syrups!
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a great prize to win. I gave up diet pop two weeks ago today. I'd love to try something healthy to add to my beverages that doesn't involve artificial sweeteners! Thanks for the opportunity to win Katie.
ReplyDeletei just re-committed myself to eating healthy. I need to lose over 100 lbs. I would use it to drink more water and in cooking healthier. all of the suggestions (except for the fish-I hate fish!) sound good!
ReplyDeleteI want to win because I buy this and already LOVE IT!!! The lime is my favorite, I always have it on hand for water or mexican dishes.
ReplyDeleteI would use it like you use crystal light! I quit drinking everything with artificial sweeteners so I'm excited to have a different option other then water and tea.
ReplyDeletemmm in water for sure... on fish would be awesome.. and chicken... on the top of lemon cupcakes. I could go on and on and on!! Thanks for the opportunity!
ReplyDeleteI will use the grapefruit in my water! I'm excited it was your favorite.
ReplyDeleteI would love this!!! I love citrus in my water but everytime I buy some I end up with three cut lemons shoved in back of my fridge that I forget about until the are moldy!
ReplyDeleteThe true lemon in some unsweetened iced tea would be good... better than those arnold palmers (especially since you said they'd be like 10 heaping spoonfuls of real sugar) lol. I'm surprised the grapefruit one was everyone's favorite, now I'm intrigued...
ReplyDeleteI would love to try this! I think them lemon on veggie or fish would be amazing!
ReplyDeleteI have used them in my water. They are available in the cafeteria where I work. But I had not thought of using them in recipes. I have thrown away tons of lemons and limes intended for certain recipes also!! I buy frozen minute maid lemon juice but again once I thaw it out, find that I end up throwing away a lot of that as well. So this would be great to have in the pantry without it going bad. Pick me!
