Daily Themes


In September 2017, after making some changes on my blog, I decided to start blogging with a theme each day. Since I wasn't going to be writing about just one topic, I created a little alliteration topic to stick to during the week. Here is the schedule:

Mental Health Monday:
On Mondays, I'll write about a topic related to mental health--my newly diagnosed bipolar disorder, years of depression and anxiety. But it's not all so serious! I will also write posts about confidence, self-image, and other things that affect us mentally.

Tasty Tuesday:
On Tuesdays, I simply share a recipe. It may be an old favorite, or something new I tried that week. Some are recipes that I've created myself; others are from various sources; but most are recipes that I altered to my liking.

Weight Loss Wednesday:
On Wednesdays, I've always done an "official" weigh-in, dating back to August of 2009. In addition to posting my weigh in, I will choose a topic each week relating to weight loss.

Thrifty Thursday:
On Thursdays, I write about paying down our credit card debt (or other money matters). We are working our hardest to pay off our credit cards, followed by our car and house!

Flashback Friday:
On Fridays, I share an old blog post from anywhere between 2000 and 2011, before I started Runs for Cookies. I used to have another blog that I wrote in for 11 years, and it's now offline. But since so many people ask if they can read the posts about when I was losing the weight, I am slowly but surely sharing those.

My Weekly Wrap-Up posts are a recap of my current race training. I post about my runs for the week.
