I've been doing longer (ie slower paced) races lately, but a sub-35 5K has been in my mind for about 2 years when I beat my sub-37 goal. cybergemhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17496501671682273003noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4904256286279591900.post-85590795482105489512016-06-07T22:18:14.897-04:002016-06-07T22:18:14.897-04:00I would love an 80/20 sub 2:00 half marathon plan....I would love an 80/20 sub 2:00 half marathon plan. I haven't ever been able to get under 40, either. I'm so slow, and feel VERY awkward and almost dangerous when I run faster than my "usual" pace. Thanks for thinking of all of "us". She wanted to get a half in before high school because it's hard to do outside events when you're running high school cross country and track. We are actually going to her awards ceremony today. She placed 2nd in her age group at the Marine wahoostampingirlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11399270304341123753noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4904256286279591900.post-65685163649710874312016-06-07T11:05:44.910-04:002016-06-07T11:05:44.910-04:00I'm looking forward to reading your plans too!...I'm looking forward to reading your plans too! I got just under 40 recently for a 5k (PR for me) and am not sure where to go from there. Feeling a little lost, like you said you felt after your 10k PR. Now that its hot out all the cats are curled up inside and my daughter and I dont see our neighborhood cats on walks as much anymore. But, since gaining some weight back, I still haven't been able to get below 30 minutes. I usually end up just a little over, like 31-33 minutes. I've been trying to train to get under 30 minutes by this fall but without a plan, I'm kind of lostAmanda Karnitzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13580689543342367545noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4904256286279591900.post-5576168431116577212016-06-07T08:04:57.772-04:002016-06-07T08:04:57.772-04:00Wow! The most my kids have done is a 5K (which I am super proud of)--and now Noah is training for a 10K, which sounds impossible to him. I'm really excited for him to do it and see that it's definitely possible!Katie Fosterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04733849582309631730noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4904256286279591900.post-89319256183927848132016-06-07T08:03:36.442-04:002016-06-07T08:03:36.442-04:00I'm so glad you're looking forward to the ...I'm so glad you're looking forward to the training plan! There are tons of "beginner" plans out there, and tons of plans for faster runners looking to PR--but not many for experienced runners who are still in the mid- to back-of-the-pack looking to get faster. So hopefully this will be what you're looking for! :)

I'm SO sorry about your kitty! :( That makes meKatie Fosterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04733849582309631730noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4904256286279591900.post-28669124057092814002016-06-07T07:08:42.084-04:002016-06-07T07:08:42.084-04:00Very excited to see your plan for the 5ks. I would love to have a sub 35 min 5k.

I think it's great that your boys get the benefit so young of having a trainer right there in the house. My 14 year old started running a few years ago and it's taken awhile for her brain to catch up with her body. Because you included slower paces!!!!!!!!! I haven't seen that anywhere! That's like written just for me!!! It took me over a year to hit sub 40 on a 5k and I am still not consistent with it. I run with a running club once a week at a brewery doing a 5k and 90% of the time I was 41+ on time, which is Emily Heizer Photographyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13483149630816603197noreply@blogger.com
