139.5
Even though I expected it (see previous entry), I'm totally bummed. I was 139.5 today. Which means, after 4 days of strict calorie counting, I'm UP by half a pound. This has actually never happened to me before. When I was actively losing the 125 pounds I lost between Aug 2009 and Dec 2010, I went 53 weeks before I had a gain.
And the reason I had a gain was because I binged for the first time in 53 weeks. Every time that I accurately count my calories, I lose weight. Except for now.
I cannot think of a bigger binge trigger. It will be a miracle if I make it through today without bingeing. I know I should not let the numbers on the scale dictate how I feel, but when I've put in this much effort (the first four days are the HARDEST to endure for me), I expect to see results. And when I don't get results, I think, "Why even bother?"
I'll update tonight.
You have done so amazing! You know the reason why your weight is up so don't let it get you down! You'll have a loss on your next WI! YOU CAN DO IT!

Maybe up your water intake? Hang in there. Next week is sure to be better.
ReplyDeleteTake care!
You are being too hard on yourself. Look at how much you have accomplished. I agree with upping the water. It might be leftover sodium retention. I know I tend to hold water all of the time from running 3-4 days a week. Try not to focus on the scale number. Wouldn't you rather be toned and healthy instead of "skinny" fat?
